Cutoffs
We ask that if your organization has a news article that you would like included in the FICC newsletter to remember that the 20th of each month is the cutoff. If any FICC organization has a flyer that is to be included with a FICC newsletter, the cutoff is the 27th of each month. We will try to accommodate these requests.
Prayer List -
The procedure to have a person's name on the Prayer List at the Wednesday night Vespers is as follows:
1) Call Lloyd Arnold (4666) or Patty Patek (3980) or any Board member. Please be sure to talk to them personally and not rely on an answering machine. The person called could be off the island and ,therefore, the name would not be included.
2) Give an estimated length of time for the request.
FICC Rental Agreements
The Community Centre is open to all property owners of the island, free-of-charge, when everyone on the island can attend. If invitations are issued to a special group of people, then the function becomes private, and a user fee ($200 for non property owners, $100 for property owners) per event will be imposed along with a $75 refundable cleaning deposit. (This does not include island groups or clubs.) The fee will be required at the time the reservation is made.
The All Faiths Chapel may be used free-of-charge by property owners, their children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren for family affairs. Non property owners would be required to pay a user fee of $250. "Rain Date" reservations can be made with a non-refundable user fee of $100.
Chapel FlowersIt has become a tradition at Chapel to enhance the altar with flowers for the Wednesday night services. Residents volunteer to provide flowers either from their gardens or to purchase them. They do so for various reasons. For some, it is their way to be an active participant at Chapel, as it may be in memory of a loved one or occasion. For others, it is a sharing of the beautiful bounty of their gardens.
We ask you to please sign the list provided opposite the office on the bulletin board so that we may continue to "brighten up" the altar. If anyone is interested in helping to arrange for weekly flowers, please contact Patty Patek - 838-3980.
